Lent Groups
The Rest is Worship - Journey together into resting with Jesus over 40 days
The Rest Is Worship explores how we can rest to the glory of God, and how our times of worship can be places where we are restored and renewed by him.
It is written for anyone who wants to delve into how "being still" can help us to "know God", and how we can reject the rush and hurry of our contemporary world (and our contemporary church).
This course is offered at the weekend, at Malcolm's house on Sundays, at 6.30pm, starting with tea, coffee and cake
.
Living Hope - Living Hope is the Church of England’s Lent theme for 2025. Booklets are available for personal use available from Church House Publishing.
In addition, there is a group study course which invites us to explore the hope God offers us – not wishful thinking, but something real, robust, alive –
as we journey with Jesus on the road that leads to the cross and beyond, to the transforming hope of Easter Day.
This course is offered in the daytime and in the evening:
At St John’s Church Wingates on Tuesdays, at 10.30am
At St Bartholomew’s Church Westhoughton on Tuesdays, at 7.30pm
